So what's it all about?

So what's it all about?

Engineers Without Borders (EWB) Edinburgh, a student run charithy, is working in collaboration with the Cambodian Hope Organisation (CHO), a Cambodian NGO who work to improve the lives of Cambodian people.

We are working to provide clean water around Poipet. This project is running now (summer 2010).

Through this blog we hope to create a resource useful to anybody carrying out subsequent or similar projects, or just something of interest for those that know us.

Accommodation

Where have we been staying? When we first arrived we stayed in the Le Heng Chay hotel, a very nice air conditioned hotel:

This was a little on the expensive side though so we down-graded whilst we looked for something permenant. We moved to a guest house and stayed in what was effectively a prison cell, except prison cells have windows!

Alison's room seemed to smell slightly better than Jack and I's, but ours was disgusting and very hot at night!

After much searching we have finally found somewhere good to stay. It's another guest house but it's a lot nicer. We also have use of the roof!

Photos of this to come after tonight.
